Coaching and Training Experience

Laura has spent 17 years in a corporate environment in a number of roles with

ongoing responsibility for Training and People Management and Development, in

areas including Service Improvement, Legal and regulatory Compliance, Process

Consulting, Strategy and Planning, and Resourcing through to Client Relationship

Management, Sales and Business Development. Specialist in business and margin

improvement initiatives since 2001, recognised as an expert in this field by BT Plc.

Laura has worked with a wide range of organisations internationally as customer

and supplier, in Retail, Brands, and Logistics Sectors leading and coaching

international delivery teams for large scale technology change programmes to

multi-national corporations to meet business growth objectives. Notably, Laura

implemented coaching for profit improvement in BT yielding an improvement

across the Retail and Brands Sector of +£5m in 2011.

Laura is increasingly being sought for programme development and speaking by

corporates and NGOs and recent clients include CB&I, KCB Bank, BT, the Part Time

Entrepreneurs Network, and Lift Effects as well as a collaboration for the ESA Women

Empowerment Summit, on communication, self-awareness and coaching/mentoring

skills. Laura has also had good exposure to the challenges of SMEs since beginning

to train in this area in 2011 for Business Networking organisations on signature

programmes.

As the former Co-Chair of the BT Women’s Network, responsible for 1800 members,

Laura is well versed in diversity and inclusion issues, building network engagement,

and creating support and influence.

Coaching approach

In times of transition, Laura helps clients and coachees gain confidence, clarity and

focus to achieve business goals. Beyond this, Laura works with delegates to evaluate

purpose and future direction and support advancement and recognition in their

personal career. Laura’s approach is non-directive and her key strength in client

sessions is being highly perceptive, going to the heart of the issue, enabling

participants to identify where change is needed, and creating movement so they can

execute this effectively to bring about lasting transformational change in a short
