Water

A strong focus for Frazer has been the development of skills to meet the changing

needs of a water industry in rapid growth. Understanding what drives individual

companies in striving to achieve their strategic objectives within the Asset

Management Plan (AMP) process has been paramount. Developing both technical

product expertise and logistic support skills has enabled Frazer to become a

significant support resource to water utility companies across the UK.

Road and Rail

With nationwide coverage, Frazer has been able to support the development

and maintenance of the UK road network, by helping contractors delivering

strategic road expansion for the UK Highway Agency, and helping Local

Authorities achieve repair and maintenance targets.

From clay drainage to concrete kerbing, Frazer can supply the full range of items

needed in this challenging sector, but with the added advantage of offering a

host of useful ancillary products too. With a capability this large, it will come as

no surprise that Frazer really can enable works from motorway construction to

estate side roads, and everything in between.

The same broad range of supply is true in all areas of transport and the build

environment, with Frazer currently working hard to support the burgeoning level

of investment in the nation’s rail infrastructure.

Electricity & Power Generation

The growth of activity within the power generation and electricity distribution

market has led to a further addition to the Frazer sector portfolio, demanding –

as it does – products with a very specific range of qualities. The building of new

power stations (including nuclear), and the repair and maintenance of the

existing distribution network are key elements in the future of Frazer business.

In recent years, the need for provision of alternative sources of renewable energy,

and greater efficiencies from existing supplies, has led to a marked growth in such

projects. Frazer is actively involved in supporting other emerging technologies

including wind farms and hydro-electric.

Multi-Utility (Gas/Water/Electric/Telecom)

The change in style of utility provision within housebuilding has convinced Frazer

of the need to adopt a wider range of products, enabling multi-utility contractors

to single-source all necessary products to complete a project. Frazer makes

strenuous efforts to remain at the forefront of these important trends so that we

are in a position to provide ‘enabling works’ to contractors who are moving into

those new sectors. ‘One-stop shopping‘ has been a trend that has been developing

and Frazer is actively seeking new initiatives to support our contractor base.

Civil Engineering & Groundwork Contractors

All construction projects are different to a greater or lesser degree, but there

remains a large core of products that any contractor (from the smallest local experts

to regional and national groups) will need to be able to source ‘on time, in full,
