The LED Handrail is typically used to provide

safety and guidance, offering pedestrians

stability where designated areas could

potentially be seen as hazardous. This includes

staircases or walkways where a high volume of

pedestrian traffic is common. The LED Handrail

is available with asymmetric or symmetric

distributions to suit your project application,

whether it is wall fixed or stanchion supported.

TyPICaL aPPLICaTIonS

The LED handrail provides safety solutions for

a large range of internal and external projects.

It is commonly used for staircases, walkways,

bridges, balconies, access ramps in both interior

and exterior applications.

The striking design features and the use of LED

light, allows it to architecturally enhance the

environment where it is being used where more

often than not, it has been specified to enhance

the surrounding architecture. At the same time

the LED handrail provides the essential safety

requirements for pedestrian footfall.

BaLUSTRaDE

The balustrade is the complete handrail system

which includes the stanchions and lighting

unit. Regulations stipulate that any unprotected

edge of a walkway, a platform or staircase from

which a person may fall more than 0.5m must

be fitted with such a system. The LED handrail

asymmetric beam angle is ideally suited to

such applications. The light is angled to exactly

where it is required stopping light spillage,

particularly useful in sensitive areas such as

waterways where light could impact on wildlife.

- Designed to stop the ingress of dust

and water

- The LED modules are designed to have low

energy usage with negligible maintenance

throughout the life of the high-power LEDs.

- The complete system can be used for

walkways, staircases and balustrades and

provides glare-free lighting using a downward

facing light source to eliminate light spillage.
