General Product Information

CONTAINMENT Well-Shield and Site-Shield, Patent Pending Spill Containment Units are

engineered, designed, and fabricated to provide our customers with; dependability, with safety and environmental commitment built into each design.

QUALITY MATERIALS

All Well-Shield and Site-Shield Spill Containment Units are hand-made using 42 mill thick, 40-oz, vinyl coated polyester fabric. This industrial-use fabric is waterproof, highly resistant to acid and oil, as well as being abrasion resistant with a high tear strength.

DURABILITY

During the final stages of our building process, the “work areas” of our containment units are coated with an additional 1.3 mills of a polyurethane and rubber non-skid layer, creating a safer work environment for personnel while adding to the strength and dependability of your containment.

SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

The unit’s berms are created with a 4 inch lay-flat hose which is built into the containment system for added durability.

Hose fittings are crossed over to a ¾” crowfoot connection, common fittings for an easy rig-up. The hose takes only minutes to fill with water, creating a solid berm while anchoring the unit in place with hundreds of pounds of water weight.

This also eliminates the trip hazards created if rope were used to secure the unit to the deck.

EASY INSTALLATION

Well-Shield units are a 3-part system which is comprised of 2 base units and a skirt.

1. The Base units are placed around the well and connected together

with 4” Cam-loc connections. 2. The unit’s berm is then filled with water creating a 4” Berm. 3. Velcro ™ flaps are then closed to secure the seam between the

two units. 4. The Skirt is then installed around the well and secured to the well

and the base units.

Rig up time is approximately 5 minutes with only one to two personnel required.

The standard Well-Shield Unit has a containment capacity of 3.8 BBLS of fluid with approximately 80 sqft of coverage area.
