Lego Bingo What is this game? This bingo game needs a minimum of 2 people to play and up to as many people as bingo boards that you have (there are 10 here). This game supports turn-taking and vocabulary. How do I play? Print the boards oand each player has their own board. Cover the colour blocks on the board with a matching coloured piece of Lego or Duplo. You then need to put a large variety of the same colours of Lego or Duplo in a bag. Each player takes turn to pull a piece of Lego or Duplo from the bag and if you have that colour piece on your board then remove it from your board. The winner is the first person to remove all their pieces from their board. You take the game a step further by generating vocabulary of things that are that colour e.g. a red post box or yellow banana etc. How imaginative can you get? Benefits of playing include: - Developing social interaction and turn-taking skills - Developing colour matching and naming - Developing word/vocabulary knowledge linking colour with other vocabulary items that match this colour building our category knowledge (semantics) - Strengthening vocabulary skills will help the understanding of language (receptive language) as well as develop the ability to use spoken language well (expressive language). - Most of all - FUN!! Enjoy :) For more information, activities or questions regarding speech, language and communication please contact: Joy Wills Speech & Language Therapist Email: [email protected] Website: www.cslc.uk

Lego Bingo

What is this game? This bingo game needs a minimum of 2 people to play and up to as many people as bingo boards that you have (there are 10 here). This game supports turn-taking and vocabulary.

How do I play? Print the boards off and each player has their own board.

Benefits of playing include: - Developing social interaction and turn-taking skills- Developing colour matching and naming - Developing word/vocabulary knowledge linking colour with other vocabulary

items that match this colour building our category knowledge (semantics)- Strengthening vocabulary skills will help the understanding of language

(receptive language) as well as develop the ability to use spoken language well (expressive language).

- Most of all - FUN!! Enjoy :)
