TheatreThe theatre department presented two performances during the months of January and March. Madagascar was a must see theatrical production of the movie about animals who escape for the zoo and go on an adventure in the wild. The performance was amazing from the characters to the set design, a truly professional show, something that adults and children alike totally enjoyed. The other performance, Midsummer Jersey, a comedy that left the audience in stitches, it was hilarious! Mark your calendars for our next performance Legally Blonde. Some of our amazing students we part of the fi nest and brightest! Congratulations to our LSHS Scholars we are so very proud of you!

Many of our AVID scholars are involved in multiple teams, clubs, Dual Enrollment, and Cambridge. We encourage our students to be involved in school activities and we support them in every way we can.

Freshman AVID went back to Veteran’s Park to talk to the entire staff about the importance and the “Why” of AVID to a fi rst year AVID school. They showed off their binders, Focused Notes, and Digital resources.

Our students are really getting the hang and mastering their Tutorials which cover reading, writing, collaboration, inquiry, presenting skills, public speaking, and organizational skills that are essential for life skills not just at school!

We have our NEW AVID shirts in students are encouraged to purchase them and add them to their Lehigh Gear! Our AVID kids look great and feel great in our 2020 AVID gear!

We continue to grow our Mobile Food Pantry. Both AVID and BETA are working every third Thursday of the month to ensure we support our community. The following are upcoming dates and times: April 16th 3-5 pm, May 21st 3-5 pm, June 18th 9am-11am, July 16th 9am-11am.

These are just two of our students of the February students of the month, we choose two students from each grade level to showcase that are all around hard working scholars! Students receive recognition through out the school and are showcased on the AVID board! Great job guys!

11th and 12th grade AVID students are working to improve a multitude of important skills through group presentations. Each group is responsible for thoroughly researching and then accurately reporting on a self-selected topic, ranging from modern events to stress management techniques for college students.

Professional Dress days are on the last Wednesday and Thursday of the month. Student dress up like they would for an interview in a professional career. As you can see we support our JROTC and encourage the Military as well as trade schools for a success career. Dress to impress!

In February our teams competed in Tampa at the Lisa Pauchey Drill Meet, the Lee County District Drill Meet and fi nished the month in Fort Lauderdale at the Monarch High School Drill Meet. Overall the cadets did exceptionally well with the Female Color Guard winning two fi rst and a second. That includes fi nishing fi rst in districts for the 4th consecutive year. Blood Drive February 10-11, 2020Students represent the blood donors of the future. Their involvement and support with the high school blood drive is vital to ensuring a safe and reliable blood supply now and in the future. We are pleased to share with you that the recent blood drive resulted in 187 people donating and we collected 187 units of blood. Remember, each donation can save up to three lives so that means 561 patients could benefi t from the lifesaving eff orts of blood donors at Lehigh Senior High School. The blood donated at your high school drive will likely be transfused into a patient within 48 to 72 hours. The turnaround is that fast, the need is constant. The next scheduled blood drive is May 5-6, 2020 from 07:00 am to 01:30 pm at Lehigh Senior High School.

Upcoming Events: Please come out and support the amazing cadets as they continue to support their community and compete against other schools in Lee County and across the state.

Prom 2020Prom 2020 will be held at the Southwest Florida Event Center on Saturday, May 2, 2020 from 7:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. Tickets are $65 until April 24, and then $70 the fi nal week before Prom. Cash, check, and credit card are accepted. This year's theme is Crystal Palace.
