We raised RFIs pertaining to Valve information missing in TSI template, Material standard sheet missing (i.e. PVF Standard Sheet) and more. We resolved clashes arising out of constructability issues related to duct vs. plumbing, plumbing vs. MEP and other trade coordination.

Challenges & Solutions

1. Coordination Challenge:BIM coordination was challenging as the ceiling space was too low.

Civil Engineer Kimley Horn

Solutions: We raised RFIs to the client with specific snaps, took client suggestion and created BIM Model.

2. Input Challenges:We required 3D models of Architecture and Structure and needed other service 3D models or NWC files (i.e. Elec. and FP) for coordination purpose.

Solutions: We raised RFIs to the client, considered client's opinion and created the 3D BIM Model with our expertise.

We rerouted ducts and pipes for providing cost-effective solution to our client. We communicated with the client through Webex and email. We filed and managed documents on specified FTP site. Overhead piping plan drawing and underground plumbing drawings were shown with BOP elevation and dimensions from column lines. Concrete pad layouts were also provided for mechanical and plumbing equipment.
