SCRIPTURE READINGS

First lesson Psalm 92: 1-8It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most High,[2] proclaiming your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night,[3 ] to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. [4] For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord; I sing for joy at what yourhands have done. [5] How great are your works, Lord, how profound yourthoughts! [6] Senseless people do not know, ools do not understand, [7] that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, theywill be destroyed forever. [8] But you, Lord, are forever exalted. Holy Gospel John 21:1-9Afterward Jesus appeared again to his disciples, by the Sea of Galilee. Ithappened this way: [2] Simon Peter, Thomas (also known as Didymus),Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two otherdisciples were together. [3] “I’m going out to fish,” Simon Peter told them, and they said, “We’ll go with you.” So they went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. [4] Early in the morning, Jesus stoodon the shore, but the disciples did not realize that it was Jesus. [5] Hecalled out to them, “Friends, haven’t you any fish?” “No,” they answered.[6] He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will findsome.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of thelarge number of fish. [7] Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter,“It is the Lord!” As soon as Simon Peter heard him say, “It is the Lord,” hewrapped his outer garment around him (for he had taken it off) andjumped into the water. [8] The other disciples followed in the boat, towingthe net full of fish, for they were not far from shore, about a hundredyards. [9] When they landed, they saw a fire of burning coals there withfish on it, and some bread.

Apostle’s CreedI believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

And in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the

Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, wascrucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day herose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the righthand of God the Father almighty. From thence he will come to judge theliving and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion ofsaints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the lifeeverlasting. Amen.
