Marie Campbell, FluteBorn in Bahrain Island, Marie began her love affair with the flute at age 10 in New York after listening to Lily Pons singing The Nightingale, accompanied by a flautist. Marie then played a year in Santa Barbara,
California before coming to Toronto, where she continued her studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music with Robert Aitken. She came to the Toronto Community Orchestra 40 years ago, when it was known as the Timothy Eaton Memorial Orchestra.
