I DICTATION: Sam was a furious, infertile eccentric who was
denying his divorce settlement. He had a ridiculous affair with the jolly personnel gathered in wood- panelled accommodation with wollen furniture and frosty lawns. He was living in poverty, having no privileges at college and he also couldn’t afford any coffee, the ancient draining board and the whistling lane where rabbits crawled pretty well.
