TYPE TOOLSGives you the capability to enter a text

into an image. You can edit the text, change its color and apply effects.

Types of Type tools• Horizontal Type Tool• Vertical Type Tool • Horizontal Type Mask Tool• Vertical Type Mask tool

Horizontal Type Tool• This tool is the regular tool to create

a text.

Vertical Type Tool- This arranges the text vertically

Horizontal Type Mask Tool- This is the normal type tool that is

mask in the image.

Vertical Type Mask Tool- This is the vertical type tool with a

mask

Three Ways to Create a Type1. Point Type. Click the

Type Tool and then just point it to the image. It is a horizontal or vertical line of text that begins where you click and goes on as you type. There is no boundary so you have to press the Enter key to make a second line.

Three Ways to Create a Type2. Paragraph Type. This type is a box type that uses boundaries to control the flow of the characters in the text. By doing this, you need to select the type tool and then drag the tool to create a square border where you want to place your text.

Three Ways to Create a Type3. Type on a Path. This tool flows along the edge of an open or closed path. The text flows in the direction in which points were added on a path. Choose the Free Pen tool to create a path. Then Choose the Type tool and on the Path to start type in a path.
