Lessons from Noah & The Flood
• The Lord knows how to punish the wicked. (2 Peter 2:5-9)
• The righteous will proclaim righteousness. (2 Peter 2:5)
• People should prepare. (Matthew 24:38; 2 Peter 3:3-14
• Faith and works lead to salvation. (Hebrews 11:7 ; Genesis 2:5-6; 6:3, 22; 7:5)
• Baptism saves. (1 Peter 3:20-21)
Lessons from Noah & The Flood
Questions about the flood:• How could Noah have gotten so many
different animals on the ark?• Are there any witnesses outside of Scripture?
• Where is the scientific evidence that such a
flood occurred?
It is worth noting that the first temptation began with the question “Has God indeed said…? (Genesis 3:1)
“God's patience waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through water. Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you…” (1 Peter 3:20-21, ESV)
