Primary Lesson 3

Lesson 3:Make a door hanger to remind children to obey God. Color the activity page. Fold the page on the dotted line. Glue it shut. Cut along the dark line and cut the circle. Decorate the reminder with stickers.

Enrichment suggestion:Parents ask children to do many things. Doing those tasks without complaining shows a level of maturity in the child. Students may list, on the back of the door hanger, some of the things their parents ask them to do. Then put a check mark by the tasks they complete willingly and with good attitudes.

Fold back on the vertical dotted line so that the children can be seen when the windows are opened. Tape the open side so the pictures of the children can be seen more easily when the windows are opened.

Bible teachers helped people learn and believe.

Our teachers help us.

Primary Lesson 8

Lesson 8:Make a stand-up picture of our teachers and Bible time teachers. Cut all the way around on the heavy lines. Fold back on all three dotted lines. Glue the two narrow strips together at each end and stand up the top pictures. (You might need to pinch the top fold a little more after gluing the bottom.) Read both sides to the students. Let primaries read both sides aloud themselves.

Primary Lesson 9

Lesson 9:Make a rhythm shaker. Children may color the cup wrapper and lid. Cut out the wrapper and tape it to a 12 oz. plastic cup. Cut out the lid and the small notches around the edge. Fold the tabs down. Place 12 to 15 dried beans or macaroni into the cup. Fit the lid to the cup and tape firmly in place so the beans or macaroni will not fall out. Now you have a shaker to use in singing praise to the Lord. Talk with the children about different musical instruments. Many churches in Africa use only percussion instruments in worship—items such as drums and shakers of all kinds.

Enrichment suggestion:Children may wish to add glitter or streamers to the shaker for decoration.

Primary Lesson 10

The gift ofGod is eternallife in Christ

Jesus our Lord.

X

Lesson 10:Make a gift box with “eternal life” inside. Tell the children that God wants to give us a free gift—eternal life. Tell them that eternal life is going to heaven someday to live forever with Jesus. Then show them the picture at the right of the child with Jesus. (It is always best if you give older primaries the piece, cut out roughly and then let them cut it out from there. You will need to do all the cutting for most two-

and three-year-olds.) The children may color and cut out the box. The teacher will have to do most of the folding. Show the children how to fold it into a box with a lid that opens (with the bow on top). Tape the sides together but leave the lid free. They may open and shut the box to see the free gift inside.

Enrichment suggestion:Review with primaries the steps God wants us to take to receive His free gift of eternal life—ask Jesus to forgive your sins; believe that Jesus died on the Cross for you; and ask Jesus to save you or make you born again.
