Dearest Grace, I am in bed again with fever and lots of pain, but the ??? does help me and I am getting better. It came on me quite suddenly just when I was feeling pretty well. Grandfather wanted to give me my breakfast this morning but I couldn't eat, but have had some milk. I had a letter from you and Ann this morning and that helped me more than I can tell. Ann said she tho't I was partial to you. Why, my dear, you are the only one of the girls that kept me posted and let me know what you are all doing. I love you all the same, but I write you, for you write to me. Tell Ann that I'll get her music to her as soon as I am up, also answer her letter. I write to Ted next. I go each day and look at your pictures. I love you so very much and believe me, darling, we are completely lost without you. The pictures I had made of you and Sue are beautiful.
