    Issue # 2: August 12, 2012

Hello, LFC adventurer! A hearty welcome from us to you - thank you for choosing

to be a part of this ever-growing organization that lives and breathes film. We hope

you enjoy your stay, and that you pick up valuable friends, skills, learnings and expe-

    riences along the way.

This right here is LFC's online newsletter, Reel Time. We're here to give you yourweekly dose vof filmy fun LFC information!

    I. LFC helps out during the strike of Hanging Habagat

66 dead and 2.44 million affected:

This is the latest count of those victim-

ized by last weeks onslaught of torrential

rains and a metro-wide flood reminiscent of

    2009s Typhoon Ondoy. A week-long post-

ponement of classes was put into order and

all LFC activities scheduled for the week

    were moved to later dates.

However, bayanihan still prevailed asLFC members took this time to help out

their fellow men who were affected by the

monsoon. In their own ways, members vol-

    unteered for relief operations spearheaded

by the Ateneo DReaM Team (Disaster Re-

    sponse and Management Team), donated

    much-needed relief goods, pledged water

bottles via Hope in a Bottle, checked on

fellow members, and spread posts and an

nouncements regarding various ways to help

An organization status report was also

conducted to check whether there were mem

bers who needed immediate assistance. For

tunately, according to the database, majority

    were in safe conditions.

Last night, LFC members were also

spotted at Rites of Passage 2012, a benefigig by fellow MCA org Ateneo Musician

Pool. The proceeds of the show were like

wise donated to the Ateneo DReaM team fo

    victims of the monsoon.

Good job on being responsible citizen

    and fearless heroes, everyone!
