La Gusana Ciega is a Mexican alternative rock band based in Mexico City, considered one of the most influential acts in the national scene. Formed in the early 90’s by Daniel Gutierrez (vocals / rhythm guitar) and German Arroyo (drums). Since 2005, the current lineup adds Lu Martinez in the bass guitar.

During their 20-year career they have released 8 studio albums, 3 live albums and 2 greatest hits compilations. Their album Monarca, was nominated for the Latin Grammys 2015 for Best Rock Album.

They were the opening act for bands such as Oasis (1997 Be Here Tour), The Cardigans, Smashing Pumpkins and Lenny Kravitz (2018 Raise Vibration Tour). They have shared the stage in festivals such as SXSW, Vive Latino (9 times), Rock al Parque (Colombia), Grito Latino Fest (Costa Rica) and Cumbre Tajín with some of the most influential Latin American bands such as Café Tacuba, Zoe, Enjambre, Molotov, Fobia, to name a few.

La Gusana Ciega remains as one of the most prolific Mexican rock bands and they have earned their place in México's Rock history.
