Robert J. Lee & Associates Founded in 1974 in New York. Robert holds a Ph.D. in Organization Psychology. His corporate experience included ITT and other multinationals. Drake, Beam and Associates founded in 1967 in Boston. John Drake and Jerry Beam were psychologists in private practice when they formed a human resources consulting firm specializing in executive assessments and interview training. In 1969, a client asked that they reverse the process to teach ex-employees how to interview to “get hired.” This was the firm’s first group outplacement workshop. Drake Beam Morin, Inc. (DBM) was formed when William J. Morin joined the Firm to manage their new outplacement business division. Robert J. Lee & Associates founded in 1974 in New York. Robert (Bob) Lee, a Ph.D. Psychologist, began his own private practice in New York City working with organizations doing performance appraisal systems, executive training, executive assessments for selections, and other organizational and management consulting. He recalled that he got into outplacement because his clients asked for his expertise as an applied psychologist to work with executives in transition.
