DESCRIPTION

Lianjian shows us Changsha, the capital of Hunan, a city of vibrant contrasts between the ancient and modern. We are introduced to Lianjian's family as well as some of the rich variety and the philosophy of cuisine in the region. He also provides a vivid picture of population growth and the necessity of the one child regulations instituted in the 1980's.
