It’s great to have the buzz and vitality of students back around the College. A special welcome to our online student community – it is really important to us that all students, whether on campus or online feel part of our learning community. I won’t bore you with statistics, but once again survey results have shown that Tabor Adelaide provides a truly high quality learning community. In the 2012 Australasian Survey of Student Engagement or AUSSE (pronounced Aussie!) Tabor Adelaide outperformed other providers(most of which were universities) in most areas of the survey. These results reflect the commitment of students and staff (both academic and administrative staff ) to work together to create and sustain a great higher education learning environment. But we don’t want to rest on our laurels. Constructive feedback on ways to improve the quality of what we do is a vital part of really effective learning and teaching. So, whether you’re online or on campus we want to hear from you. Is there something we can do better? Can we improve our facilities or procedures? We may not be able to follow through on every suggestion but we will listen. Feedback can be provided through the online Quality Improvement form at: taboradelaidequalityimprovement.hesk.com Have a great semester! Dr Don Owers AM Principal

Ann ibrahim, Program Coordinator for the Undergraduate Counselling Program has just had her research thesis accepted and she is now a Master of Counselling (Research). Well done Ann! this is a significant achievement for her personally but also an important step in the development of our Counselling program.

Ann’s research thesis was entitled, “Disenfranchised Grief and loss, identity loss, and identity Gaps for Returned Missionaries.” this was an important study on the struggles faced by missionaries after they have finished their overseas service; a struggle rarely recognised by local churches.

Congratulations!
