Tournament OutlookLiberty (2-2) will play its lone regular-season tournament of the 2011-12 campaign Friday and Saturday, when the Lady Flames compete in the Vanderbilt Thanksgiving Tournament at Memorial Gymnasium in Nashville, Tenn.

The Lady Flames will play No. 12/14 Oklahoma (2-0) in a fi rst-round matchup on Friday, beginning at approximately 5 p.m. Eastern. Liberty’s fi rst-ever meeting with the Sooners will be the Lady Flames’ fi rst matchup against a Top 25 squad this season.

Friday’s fi rst game will be a battle of Nashville, as Lipscomb (0-5) squares off against the host Vanderbilt (4-0) squad at 3 p.m. Eastern.

Friday’s two losing teams will face one another Saturday at 3 p.m. Eastern in the tourna-ment’s consolation game. The championship game will follow at approximately 5 p.m.

A Look Back at Tuesday’s Game Versus Virginia-Wise-- Liberty’s fi rst matchup with Virginia-Wise since Nov. 28, 1994 became the Lady Flames’ fi rst home win of the 2011-12 season and snapped a two-game losing skid.

-- The Lady Flames, who never trailed in the contest, led by as many as 47 points and posted a season-high 82 points.

-- Liberty outrebounded its 31st straight opponent, 51-27, grabbing nearly as many offen-sive boards (26) as the Cavaliers had total on the glass (27).

-- Liberty’s 20 steals were the team’s most in a game since a 21-steal outing against Rad-ford on Feb. 26, 2000, during Carey Green’s fi rst season as head coach.

-- Five Lady Flames scored in double fi gures against Virginia-Wise, marking the fi rst time Liberty has done that since Nov. 30, 2010 versus Glenville State.

-- Liberty’s bench tallied 26 points on Tuesday, meaning the Lady Flames’ reserves have scored 20 points or more in all four games this season.

-- Devon Brown inched closer to a milestone, as her 12 points boosted the redshirt junior’s career total to 980 markers.

From Red, White and Blue to Red, White and Blue-- Avery Warley gained her fi rst experience with USA Basketball in October, playing for Team USA at the Pan American Games.

-- Warley was part of a Team USA squad that went 2-2, fi nishing in seventh place.

-- Came off the bench at UNC Greensboro (Nov. 11) for just the fourth time in her career and the fi rst since Dec. 21, 2010 at VCU.

-- Played well in her unusual role, scoring a game-high 20 points, including 14 in the second half. It was the fi rst time a Liberty reserve has tallied 20 points in a contest since LaKendra Washington notched 21 points at Lafayette on Nov. 28, 2009.

-- Her career-high fi ve three-pointers versus UNC Asheville on March 4, 2011 made her the fi rst Lady Flame with a fi ve three-pointer game since Jan. 31, 2009. Rachel Hammond made fi ve triples against High Point in that contest.
