Summer has been very busy with the summer reading program or !hi"dren goingon, many visitors !oming, and # have put in many hours trying to $% prob"ems with

ear"y to $% the *#+# whi!h has been out or severa" days' # pur!hased some

additiona" memory and other hardware to upgrade another !omputer and now have

to $nd time to do it' he "ist goes on and on'

*e re!eived the Libri -rant and they dont re&uire a mat!h anymore, so that is

wonderu"' # wi"" need to $nd some time to go through their boo) "ist, pi!)ing out

boo)s that have good reviews and that wou"d be o interest to our !ommunity'

*e got noti$ed that we got the .ub"i! Library ssistan!e -rant or ,50' # (ustneed to $"" out a ew more orms' his he"ps with "ibrary materia" and it he"ps with

wages'

ou might see me at the "ibrary "ate in the evenings' # am trying to get ready or a

test in +airban)s, to get !erti$ed as a !omputer #' +or the past year # have been

ta)ing !omputer !"asses that have rea""y he"ped me with my (ob' # do this o3 the

!"o!), but need to use the "ibrary resour!es in order to ta)e the !"ass' hey are

on"ine !"asses and # re!eived "ibrary grant unding to ta)e them' 4n!e # am done

with the test in +airban)s, # wi"" move on to the ne%t !"ass that dea"s with

networ)ing'

he 4*L grant surprising"y6 is sti"" going and now they have pur!hased a $rewa""

or us that b"o!)s ha!)ing sites and other prob"em sites su!h as hard !ore

pornography and hate sites' !tua""y in order to be in !omp"ian!e with 8Rate, we

must be $"tered' # (ust wish that they had to"d me that they were going to provide

this, sin!e # (ust pur!hased $"tering or our "ibrary' his wi"" save us money in the

"ong run on $"tering' hey a"so have money or : !"asses through :#L: whi!h is a

!ontent provider or these types o !"asses' # wi"" need to spend more time

resear!hing !"asses that might be o interest or our !ommunity and then s!hedu"e

them' # you have ideas or !"asses that might be o interest to you or others then

*e have been named as the star inter"ibrary "oan "ibrary or appro%' 5 years now'

*e do more inter"ibrary "oans at our "ibrary than at any rura" "ibrary in the state'

*hat does that mean; #t means we have a "ot o readers and it means that we dont

have enough materia" to meet our patrons needs' #t means that we have a "ibrary

that en!ourages #LLs and that your "ibrarian is very busy' +or those o you who

dont )now what #LLs are, # you need a boo) and we dont have it at our "ibrary we
