We have teams of qualified designers based in both of our

beautiful showrooms, in London and Berkshire. Our designers

use their dedication and experience to ensure our clients’

expectations are met and exceeded whilst personally guiding

them through to installation.

The first stage of the process is an initial meeting on site, or at

one of our extensive showrooms, during which the designer will

ascertain your requirements and the needs of the household

environment. Our designers’ vast knowledge of furniture and

appliances will ensure you are introduced to our inspiring range

of products that will result in the correct mixture of practicality

and style whilst meeting your budget.

A preliminary design will be produced and presented to you,

ensuring you have a full understanding of what is being

proposed. We provide, as standard for every project, high

resolution 3D renders, plans and elevations to enable our clients

to envisage exactly how their finished kitchen will look and feel.

After any final amendments have been made and contracts

signed, the orders are placed with manufacturers and suppliers.

Throughout the process, from design through to final installation,

site surveys and check measures are carried out on a number of

occasions by both the designer and installation manager.

Lida Cucina and Pedini London work with all the major suppliers

of top quality appliances such as Gaggenau, Miele, Sub Zero

and Wolf, and many other manufacturers. If there is a

requirement for AV or home technology we involve sister

company Futurehome at an early stage.

We are dedicated to ensuring the installation process is an

enjoyable one and our experienced fitting teams will install your

kitchen to the highest standard. Your designer will ensure on

handover that you are fully aware of all functionality, and the

aftercare service we provide.

After 10 years, having outgrown the characterful Howe Lane accommodation,

Lida Cucina has now relocated to a modern, spacious, purpose built head

office and showroom, re-joining the rest of the Alexander James Group after

nearly two years in separate premises.

On display are fully dressed and accessorised kitchen and wardrobe room

sets, plus a fully functional 5 seat luxury cinema room showcasing the latest

state of the art Audio Visual technology, offered by sister company Futurehome.

Our new Lida Cucina showroom, with its unique Tailor Made Collection, offers

you a complete and versatile range of profiles and finishes, enabling us to work

with you to create a look and style that reflects your personality and household

needs.

A trading division of Lida Cucina, the Pedini London Showroom opened in the

summer of 2012, and fast became a must visit location on the London design

map.

Deceptively spacious, the Pedini London Showroom extends to some 3,500sq

ft, and is interconnected to the impressive Surface Tiles showroom making a

total showroom area in excess of 15,000sq ft. In 2013 Pedini London was

honoured to receive the accolade of “Showroom of the Year” from Pedini SpA.

The showroom underwent a major refurbishment in spring 2015, and is the

first to display Pedini’s newest Arts and Crafts collection. Amongst the other

ranges on show is Artika, the original curved kitchen. An Italian design classic

which, since its launch, has been inspirational to kitchen manufacturers and

designers worldwide.

Beloved by chefs, Pedini London is regularly used for both photoshoots and

Masterclasses by a number of Michelin starred and celebrity chefs, including

amongst others Atul Kochhar, Monica Galetti, Theo Randall and Aldo Zilli.

Futurehome specialises in supplying and installing the very latest in media distribution,

home control systems and home cinema.

Ranging from a state of the art personal cinema, to fully integrated multi-room audio

visual systems which can be operated from an iPad, iPhone or similar device, we

design systems to ensure the infrastructure is in place to support todays and tomorrows

technological requirements.

We provide technology for new homes as well as careful and sensitive installations into

existing properties.

Multi Room Audio and HD Video Distribution; Allowing access

to local media libraries and internet based content such as

internet radio, Spotify and Netflix from anywhere in the house.

Making music and HD Video available throughout the house, and

even into the garden. HD Video is streamed from central devices

to TVs, kitchen splash back/mirror TVs, bathroom and cinema

room, etc.

Cinema/Media Rooms; Whether a dedicated cinema room with a

projection system, or a large screen plasma, LED or OLED TV for

media/games room applications where blackout conditions are

not desirable. We supply and install a number of different types of

speakers; from invisible speakers behind the projection screen or

in the walls/ceilings, small discrete speakers or customisable

speakers that are works of art. Futurehome also supplies

dedicated cinema or lounge seating to complete the look.

Lighting Control; Mood lighting systems can be operated with a

single touch; Pre-programmed scenes can be used to change the

atmosphere of a room, highlighting a specific feature or

welcoming the family home at the end of the day. Using these

systems, all types of lighting can be dimmed which increases

lamp life and saves energy. Events can also be triggered by

dawn/dusk sensing and time of day, while ‘light paths’ and

presence simulation can also be achieved.

Curtains, Blinds and Screens, Security Surveillance Cameras

and Entry Systems, Kitchen Appliances; Integrated into a

Home Control System, curtains, blinds, security surveillance and

kitchen appliances can be controlled remotely or by programmed

modes such as ‘presence simulation’, timed events and

dawn/dusk programming.

Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning; Monitoring

temperatures within different areas of the house by the home

control system helps to reduce consumption i.e. lowering the

temperature in the bedroom while you are in the kitchen.

Increasingly property developers and architects are specifying

Audio Visual and fully integrated Home Control Systems as

standard when designing new or extending existing properties,

and many people are beginning to retrofit them into their existing

homes. Futurehome can provide these integrated technological

solutions which are controlled by the touch of a smart phone or

tablet, to ensure the highest quality living environment.

Home Control Systems

We work with a number of manufacturers including Savant

Systems, Control 4 and RTI, and we are proud to be Accredited

Installation Specialists for all these systems.

Pre-wiring Services

The best time to plan for home technology is when a property is

being built, adding significant value, but at low initial cost.

Futurehome will ensure that this infrastructure is in place and will

provide an ‘Upgrade Options’ document for each pre-wiring

platform. This sets out simply the facilities offered by the system

and the various options available; ready for the home owner to

install their desired elements!

Standalone Systems

As well as complete Home Control Systems Futurehome offers

standalone independent systems such as audio and video

distribution systems and cinema rooms.

Future-proof and Retrofit

Provided the wiring infrastructure has been installed, systems

can be easily retro-fitted with very little extra wiring, and are

easily upgradeable and customisable. It is easy to start simply

with one control solution adding more control to the home over

time!

At Futurehome we work closely with all our clients, ascertaining

their specific requirements in order to deliver the very best,

unique design for each project. We then liaise closely with the

client right through to installation, whether it is a single room,

whole house or multiple unit development.
