DESTINATION FACTS

Marmaris Kalesi: It is believed that Marmaris Castle was first built by the Ionians (1044 BC) and later on repaired during the era of the Alexander the Great. It is one of the best cultural places to

visit and see in Marmaris.

İçmeler: Although you can swim in Marmaris beach it’s better to go by Dolmus to Icmeler Beach. Check out the surrounded district and spend some hours there.

Clear waters under the bright sun are what you get here in every bay of Marmaris so be prepaid to relax on the sandy beaches. Icmeler is also ideal for water sports.

Turunç: Turunç is a beautiful resort located about 21 km from Marmaris. Turunç beach is a wonderful Blue Flag beach nestled in between rolling forested hills and mountains.

Dalyan: Dalyan is a popular resort located on the 80 kilometers southeast of Marmaris. Dalyan can be considered as a wonder of nature where the sea and the lake come together. The region is

famous with the golden beach of Iztuzu, the sea turtles (Caretta Caretta), healthy mud bath and the ancient city of Kaunos. A must see place for the holiday makers.

Kleopatra Adası (Sedir Adası (Cedrea)): is located on the 18 km. north of Marmaris. Cleopatra Island is also known as Sedir Island or City Island. Cleopatra Island is famous with its golden sandy

beach known as Cleopatra Beach and the ancient city of Cedrae. The remnants of the city walls can be seen. It is famous with its huge beach and ancient theatre ruins. There is an interesting beach on

the small bay on the northwest of the island where it is believed that Cleopatra used to swim here..

Kızkumu Plajı: Kizkumu beach is one of the most beautiful beaches of the region and the Bozburun peninsula. Kizkumu beach is located at Orhaniye village, on the southwest of Marmaris and 2,5

kilometres away from Turgut, 28 kilometres from Marmaris.

Datça: Datca, with just 10000 inhabitants is on a peninsula surrounded by nature. Its location is unique: North of the peninsula is the Aegean Sea and at the South the Mediterranean Sea. From the

peninsula you have a panoramic view on the Greek islands Kos, Simi and Rhodos.Datca is not yet discovered by mainstream tourism because there is no airport nearby. Here you can still taste the real

Turkey in Datca. It is mostly famous for its high oxygen levels in the air and the low humidity. Even in the hottest summer months, a gentle breeze will allow for a pleasant stay. The sea and the coast

line are stunningly beautiful. There so many little beaches and plenty quiet little bays where you can enjoy the peace and beauty.
