One Year Bible Reading Program4 • Filadelfia Church

Keep this book of Law always on your lips, meditate on it day and night,

so that you may be careful to do everything written in it..

Then you will be prosperous and successful

Joshua 1:8 (NIV)

2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,”And indeed, it turns out that Bible has changed many people. Therefore, to get the benefits we should be willing to sacrifice and read regularly. And this bible reading will greatly help you to get the many benefits. Moreover, it will provide us the opportunity to explore the bible with a pleasant setting. And in a year’s time we will finish all New Testament and also Old Testament. This program starts from 1 January and will finish at the end of December.

Jeremiah 15:16 “When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, LORD God Almighty.”

Jeremiah is different from his people, he loves God’s Word and the Word was a joy and delight for him.One sure sign that we are God’s children is a powerful love of the Word of God.

Furthermore, through His Word we will personally get to know the Lord that we worship, and we will automatically be made a pleasure of God.This is God’s purpose for us, that we were created merely to be God’s pleasure.

Therefore, let “to know God through His word,” be our delight as His creation, and I believe that God will be pleased as we fulfill His purpose, which is to become a creation that please the Lord.Good luck and Jesus as the head of the church blesses you. Amen.

Key to GrowKey to Grow = Listen+ Understand + Do

Matthew 7:24-25“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall,

because it had its foundation on the rock.”

By listening to the Word of God plus understanding and DO it, you will grow. There’s where there is an element of OBEDIENCE.

Why you should grow?God wants us to continue to grow and bear fruit (Col 1:10; 1 Pet 2:2; 2 Pet 3:18; Matt 3:10)Ready to face any storm, because it says (Matt 7:25 NKJV): AND, not: IF; thus the storm would DEFINITELY COME. Therefore build our spiritual foundation with a firm foundation that is the Word of God, so that we are able to deal with any kind of storm. Cling to Him so you will be fruitful and delivered from harm (John 15:4; Ps 91:14).Follow any activity in your church which support spiritual growth. God’s word is the truth, and the truth will make us holy. We have been bought and now we are the servant of truth, then the truth is our part. God’s attributes belong to us (goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, etc) and throw all acts of flesh (evil nature). The Word is alive. The Word is Yes and Amen. And the Word will be fulfilled.

Psalm 1:1-3 (NKJV)Blessed is the man

Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the LORD,

And in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree

Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither;

And whatever he does shall prosper.

As we do the Word then the Word will become one with our flesh and release His Power. God’s promise will be fulfilled!

SCHOOL OF LIFE

Our life is a school of life; where the last class we achieve will determine our future in eternity. Therefore, we must continue to grow. Eternity doesn’t start when we die, but WHEN WE LIVE is where the journey to eternity started.Let’s understand the key to growth. Don’t wait any longer to learn the Bible, because there will come times of distress, not only in economy, but also spiritually.

Work our salvation with fear and trembling.Don’t only drink milk (=diluted, understanding only the surface of the Word of God), but eat hard food (a deeper understanding of the bible) that we reach spiritual maturity.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your

hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Col 3:16-17 (NKJV)

There’s power in the Word of God. Word of God is Life. If we believe, then we will see the glory of God. The Bible is the manual book for believers. Guidance on how to be like Christ. Christianity is not about religion but also about LIFESTYLE. Christianity is “How to be like Christ,” becoming like CHRIST in ATTITUDE, ACTION and WORD.
