upObjectives of the Association
A European Network for innovation and technology transfer in the GIsector and its application domains (territorial planning, waterresources and utility networks, coastal management, natureconservation….) for:
• Sharing experience among universities, companies, National and local Bobies and users
• Promoting and developing projects of common interest, with particular reference to the EU programmes

LIFE+IMAGINE supports the environmental and data management policiesrelated to the coastal planning and governance
LIFE+IMAGINE, through methodologies for environmental analysis, theintegration and the harmonization of multi‐sources data, provides new andhands‐on information to support the planning, the decision making andthe environmental reporting, with particular reference to three scenarios:
• Soil consumption in coastal zones (2 pilot sites)• Lanslides in coastal zones (2 pilot sites)• Integrated Coastal Zone Management
LIFE+IMAGINE implements a web services infrastructure for environmentalanalysis and planning, integrating in its own architecture specifications andindications of INSPIRE and SEIS and the data from Copernicus

Use Cases
Scenario Soil Consumption in coastal zones
SC1 - Soil consumption calculation at the national levelSC2 - Analysis of the degree of imperviousness for the calculation of landscape metrics at the municipal level
SC3 - Land cover flow reporting
Scenario Landslides in coastal zones
LS1 - Informing and motivating citizensLS2 - Landslides and transport networkLS3 - Landslides and agriculture&cultural heritage
Use case on Integrated Coastal Zone Management
ICZM1 – Integrated Coastal Zone Management
LIFE/12/ENV/IT/001054
The application to the ICZM of the LIFE+IMAGINE infrastructureprovides new, usable and accessible information for:
• Better assess the impacts of landslides and land consumption, by calculating in which measure the investigated zone is affected by these problems
• Mitigate the impacts through the prevision and the monitoring of these problems
• Improve and, in a longer term, reshape the planning processes, by proposing interventions aimed at removing the impacts

LIFE/12/ENV/IT/001054
Web services
Ingestion Services: are use to load, pre‐process and store thedata provided by external sources, by stakeholders or by otherarchitectural services.
Data Access Services: make available geographic data as mapsand geometric features.
Catalogue Services: allow the client to find geographic data andservices.
Processing Services: they process the input data (bothgeographical and alphanumeric) and produce an outputaccording to the specific algorithm implemented.

The LIFE+IMAGINE Training Framework
LIFE/12/ENV/IT/001054LIFE/12/ENV/IT/001054
The Training Framework is an infrastructure:
• accessible from the project web site, offering to partners and
target groups the possibility of training about project, contents
and outcomes
• able to support the stakeholders to be operative not only in the
procedures of the pilots but also in the understanding of the
standards of INSPIRE and of the others Directives and in the
application of the INSPIRE implementation rules
The LIFE+IMAGINE Training Framework is part of a general Training Framework to support knowledge and skills on EU
environmental Directives
