Clubhouse:

Lawn bowling signs have been installed

New fabric for the lounges continue to be installed; color looks great

New fabric for the chairs will follow

Final Pool repairs took place on October 14th - October 18th

Pool cabanas have been pressure washed and are being painted

Pool and clubhouse perimeter walls have been painted

Pool deck was pressure washed and some spots where pavers were loose have been repaired

New A/C's for Clubhouse were installed late October

Tennis courts are being resurfaced

Shuffleboards will be pressure wash, re-stenciled & waxed

Bocce courts will be resurfaced in November/ December

Douglas T. Jacobson State Veterans Nursing Home. Please see the lists below .There will be a

large box in the Residents Room where you can drop off the items or you can bring your

donation to the Veteran's Pancake Breakfast.

NEW TENNIS SHOES NEEDED

The Sunrise Kiwanis Organization is running the "Shoes for Kids" project. It began in 2005.

This project has grown to 50 collection sites and has delivered an impressive number of shoes - more than 40,000 pairs to date in 10 years. The one and only objective to this project is to provide shoes to students in the Charlotte County School system.

Students are identified by school personnel and the shoes are distrib-uted in a confidential manner.

The reason "tennis shoes" asked for is two-fold. They have shoes to wear for school and also for Physical Ed class.

I thought this would be a nice project for Kingsgate. We all have a lot to be thankful for. This would be a nice way of helping those in need.

I will be collecting during the month of November.

For convenience, shoes may be dropped off at my house.
