GO TO BED

If I go to bed, I will sleep through the power cut

and wont have to use torches and candles. I wont

have any trouble as it will be dark like any other

night.

LIGHT AND COLLECT CANDLES

Candles are useful for if you don’t have enough

torches, if they are broken or if your torches have

run out of power.

PLAY BOARD GAMES

Board games are good because you don’t need any

power, they will distract you, you will have fun and

you can spend time with your family and comfort one

another.

COLLECT TORCHES AND SPARE BATTERIES.

During a power cut you always need torches so

that you can see, and so that you can go get food or

water or to play a board game. You need them you

continue doing things you need to do.

Spare batteries are very important as you need

them in case the ones in your torch die.

SITUATION

I am just about to move house.

I have been to visit the place and have found the perfect bedroom. It

has big windows and fluorescent lights. A beautiful view and it’s a

nice big room.

Problem

The problem with the room is the lights. They are

fluorescent and always make annoying buzzing noise and

they don’t really suit my taste.

Design Brief

I am going to design and make something that will suit my personality, my tastes

and my room and it will also be kind and good for the environment.

Specifications• The switch be nearby and easily accessible.

• Have a long life battery.

• Be a light that you can dim .

• Hang from the ceiling.

• It will be elegant and unique.

• It will have a black and white theme (possibly).

• Have black flowery, delicate and elegant patterns on it ( like PowerPoint background).

• Mimic the designs of a chandelier.

• It must have an energy saving bulb.
