Linda Leine, piano Linda Leine is an accomplished soloist, chamber musician, and Lied accompanist performing throughout Europe. She has appeared on recordings of the Latvian Radio, the NDR, WDR, SWR and BR. The pianist was a scholarship recipient of the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation, the Alfred Töpfer Foundation F.V.S., the AD Infinitum Foundation, and the Claussen-Simon Foundation. In addition to her competition successes as a soloist - she won the Steinway Förderpreis, among others - she was awarded 3rd prize in the Lied Duo category at the "Franz Schubert and the Music of Modernity" competition as a Lied accompanist. In 2016 she won the 1st prize at the 9th International Competition "Verfemte Musik." Together with soprano singer Pia Davila, Linda Leine plans several projects for the 2021/22 season. With clarinettist Anna Gāgane and cellist Kristaps Bergs, she founded the Trio Fabel, which frequently collaborates with young composers and performs their works. As a soloist, Linda Leine also enjoys performing contemporary, modern music - in addition to an extensive classical repertoire. She is also passionate about the interplay of different arts and explores music connections with dance and film in her projects. In 2022 she will record works by Latvian composer Georgs Pelēcis for the SKANI label to make the music of her country of origin known to a broader audience.

For a long time, Linda Leine played together with pianist Daria Marshinina as apiano duo. Extensive concert engagements led the two musicians to renownedconcert halls such as the Konzerthaus Berlin and festivals such as theSchleswig-Holstein Music Festival and many other stages in Europe. They gainedmusical inspiration from the piano duo Olha Chipak and Oleksiy Kushnir as wellas from Prof. Andreas Groethuysen, Prof. Jacques Rouvier and Sir András Schiff.Their debut CD "Schubert-Stravinsky-Vasks" earned the piano duo a nominationfor the OPUS KLASSIK 2019. With their innovative piano programs, which alsoincorporate their Russian and Latvian roots, they have given concerts in Italy, theCzech Republic, Latvia and the USA. Sir András Schiff invited the duoLeine-Marshinina to collaborate as part of the Schubertiade in Schwarzenberg.

Linda Leine first received her training at the Riga Emila Darzina Music School withIlze Treija and then studied at the Latvian Jazeps Vitols Music Academy with Prof.Arnis Zandmanis. She continued her studies in Germany, initially with Prof. LilyaZilberstein and Prof. Burkhard Kehring at the Hochschule für Musik und TheaterHamburg. She then studied with Prof. Konrad Elser in the master's program insolo piano at the University of Music Lübeck. Since October 2015, Linda Leinestudied piano duo with her piano duo partner Daria Marshinina at the RostockUniversity of Music and Theatre in the class of Prof. Stenzl. She completed hermaster's degree and concert exam with high distinction.
