Back Ground Successful coaches at all levels have differing beliefs, values and approaches to their sport and athletes, but at the centre of these differences is a unique philosophy which guides their behaviour and decision making (Collins, Heather, Moore & Laws, 2011)
My Philosophy and Vision for Lincolnshire
Build strong rapport and mutual respect with players, understand what makes each individual work to the best of their ability. Provide the best possible opportunities to improve and reach their goals.
1. Maximise potential and the development of all players 2. Provides the best learning environment possible within our means
Back Ground
England Pathway Talent Principles In order to maximise the probability of developing great players, we should …
1) Adopt an individualised and long-term approach
2) Focus on both maximising a player’s strengths and minimisinglimiting weaknesses
3) Promote learning through highly challenging and performance specific practice
4) Encourage players to take ownership and responsibility
