According to Eurostat, in 2011,
• 7.5 million young people aged 15–24 and
• 6.5 million young people aged 25–29
were excluded from labour market and education in
Europe (NEETs).
The economic loss was € 153 billion.
This is corresponds to 1.2% of European GDP.
Going up to 2% or more in some MS.
