During the 2014-15 school year, Zion Lutheran School went through the accreditation process, compiling mate-rials, doing a self study and working with an accreditation team on recommen-dations for improvement in the future. “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12
Zion Lutheran School depends on its parent and fami-ly volunteers to carry out the work of Jesus Christ. Working together makes that work easy, fun, and binds us together in fellowship. The team concept allows for parents to volunteer the spe-cific talents and gifts they possess in a time frame that works for them. It also allows for easy transitions as our parents’ life commitment levels change. How Do the Teams Work? Each team has a captain or set of co-captains along with a staff sponsor who will work together to set goals for the school year. The captain then recruits teammates to carry out those goals.• Captains can run events or recruit others to run events – share the load!• You can be a part of 1 team or several• You can be a part of just 1 event or all events for that team Where Can I Sign Up? We need captains for every team. Captain alone or co-captain with friends; either way, contact the staff sponsor listed for the team in which you are interested.

If there is a team or specific event that looks interesting to you and fits your gifts and abilities, contact the Mrs. Baron or Mrs. Stelling to sign up.

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is
one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
GETTING TO KNOW OUR TEACHERS & STAFFEach month in the Lion’s Roar, we will highlight teachers and school staff members so you can get to know them better. Each one is unique in his/her own way - take a moment to learn something new about the amazing people that interact with your child(ren) on a daily basis at Zion Lutheran School.
