devices, specialising in diagnostics. Whilst our main focus is to manufacture diagnostic tests for government and NGO procurement for Africa, we are also well positioned to manufacture OEM products for private customers worldwide.

At present Lifeassay has 2 manufacturing units – one dedicated to the manufacturing of urinalysis tests and another unit specializing in the manufacturing of lateral flow tests.

Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located in Cape Town, 15 minutes away from Cape Town International Airport.

LIPOstixA newly developed advanced 4th generation urine dipstick test

called LIPOstix can be employed as a very accurate marker of fat metabolism (burning fat) and hydration.

Lipostix, which incorporates molecular principles for the first time, detects the major ketone bodies b-hydroxybuterate and acetoacetic acid in urine, and can thus be used as a measuring tool for adherence to low-carbohydrate diet, or to verify the efficacy of an exercise programme in conjunction with diet.

At the same time, it is an invaluable tool helping the individual to monitor and maintain optimal hydration through measuring the specific gravity (concentration) of the urine, an essential component of any serious weight loss programme.

Test-it Adulteration TestsFor drug screening programs. Test-it Urine Adulteration Tests are ideal screening tests to

determine if urine samples have been diluted or manipulated. They are primarily indicated as initial tests prior to drug

screening. A diluted and/or chemically manipulated urine sample can be identified through determination of specific parameters.

Abnormal levels of physiological parameters and/or the presence of compounds not normally found in urine can be used to identify manipulated or 'adulterated' urine.

cause distinct colour changes in the test fields, making urine testing with Test-it™ strips the first step in accurate and reliable diagnosis in all settings, including hospitals, practices and laboratories alike.

High specificity - Thanks to the advanced chemical formulae used in Test-it™ urine strips, cross-reactions and false positives are kept to an absolute minimum.

Interference of Ascorbic Acid - Test-it™ strips limit the interference of low concentrations of ascorbic acid with both glucose and haemoglobin determinations. An additional ascorbic acid parameter is provided on some product combinations to alert the user if excessive amounts of ascorbic acid are present in the urine that could have an effect on the accuracy and reliability of glucose and haemoglobin determinations.

Economic - Test-it™ strips do not require refrigeration and are stable for 2 years from date of manufacture. Quick Results - Test-it™ strips allow simultaneous reading of all reagent pads at 60 seconds, except for leukocytes

that could be read at 120 seconds to allow for detection of weak positives. Cap containing desiccant - Test-it™ urinalysis tubes are supplied with a cap containing aggressive moisture

absorbing (desiccant) material. The desiccant ensures that a low humidity environment is always present in the tubes and enhances the shelf life of the test strips.

UV Protected tube - Each Test-it™ urinalysis tube is carefully pre-treated with a special chemical to prevent UV damage to the strips.

High quality colour chart - Most urine strip manufacturers offer colour labels of inferior print quality. Test-it™ colour labels utilise a unique and high quality printing process, ensuring a perfect match between strip colour reactions and corresponding colours on the colour label. Test-it™ urinalysis strips provide the most precise and best-defined colours available of all urinalysis products on the market.
