2. Objectives of "Fundamental Elements"
Develop EGNOS and Galileo-enabled chipsets, receivers, user terminals and other associated technologies that will:
Facilitate the adoption of the European GNSS Systems, building on innovative services and differentiators
Increase the EU industry competitiveness
Push through close-to-market innovation actions
Address the user needs in priority market segments, maximising the benefits for the citizens
Fundamental Elements so far
• 5 projects already published – Aviation DFMC SBAS receiver
– Safety critical E-GNSS engine
– Payment and reliability critical E-GNSS engine
– High-end professional receivers and corresponding antennas
– Low-end mass market receiver core technologies development
