An English and Culture Course for 14-17 year olds

A Liverpool School of English Summer Centre for Groups (minimum 10 students)

Welcome to LISS London Our English Summer School for teens aged 14-17 is located at the Stayclub in Colindale in London. The venue

offers excellent learning, recreational and accommodation facilities. With just a 1 minute walk to the tube our

students are in the perfect location to explore one of the most exciting capital cities in the world.

All students take a placement test on their first day to ensure they are placed at the

appropriate level.

Students study 15 hours of English per week in international classes

Course materials and certificate of attendance are provided

Our friendly teachers deliver an academic syllabus focusing on language development

and communicative competence as well as topics related to Britain’s capital.

Language is brought to life using a vibrant functional approach. All students receive a LISS

Passport specially created by our academic team to connect language skills developed in

the classroom with the sights and sounds of the city of London. LISS Passport Study Materials

Accommodation & Welfare

Stayclub Colindale is located 1 minute walk from Colindale tube station Shared bedroom at Stayclub Colindale Ensuite private bathroom

At LISS London Summer School the student is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to providing a high standard of welfare for all of our students.

Students are accommodated in triple or quad rooms (Group Leaders in single rooms). The futuristic state of the art rooms feature ensuite bathrooms and a mini

kitchen area. Free high speed 100mb WiFi is available throughout the building.

Our rules for school and accommodation are very clear and are carefully designed to ensure the safety and comfort of our students. During students’ first day

induction our code of conduct is presented clearly and carefully. All students are provided with a summer school handbook so they know what behaviour is

expected from them both inside and outside of school. Our summer school induction and handbook also ensure students and group leaders know what to expect in

terms of accommodation and welfare support from our staff.

Group Leaders meet with our summer school management team every day to make sure that each and every student is safe and well. They discuss all aspects of

the programme—welfare, accommodation, meals, learning, excursions and activities—to ensure any issues are identified and resolved as quickly as possible.

Our live-in staff in residences provide welfare support for students out of regular school hours

All of our students have a wristband and personal ID card with emergency contact information

A 24 hour emergency contact number is provided for students and group leaders

Our summer school programme is busy and active. Our students need good quality food which is healthy and varied. We work closely with the catering team to

ensure we provide nutritious meals for our students, group leaders and staff.

On weekdays with lessons students have breakfast, hot lunch and dinner. On weekends and full excursion days, packed breakfasts and lunches are provided with

the evening meal either at the Stayclub or in a restaurant.
