Rwanda is a landlocked country in the heart of Africa. It is known as ’the land of a thousand hills and a thousand smiles. Rwanda has five volcanoes, twenty-three lakes and numerous rivers. Anyone visiting ’the

land of a thousand hills’ will enjoy the loveliness and variety of the landscapes in this ’green country’. Vegetation ranges from dense equatorial forest in the north-west of the country to tropical savannah in the east, dominated to the north by volcanoes and bordered by Lake Kivu to the west.In Rwanda, the animals of the wild are protected in Nyungwe, Akagera and Virunga Volcanoes National Parks. The Volcanoes National park in the Virunga volcanic mountains, are world famous for mountain gorillas and is teeming with wildlife, while Lake Kivu to the west offers beautiful beaches, jutting peninsulas’ and an archipelago of islands. The rain seasons are March - May and October – November. The average temperature is 24 - 27ºc with hottest months being August, September. Altitude Ranges from 1000-4500m above sea level.

Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is a globally sought after wildlife experience. This tour will offer you up to one hour with gorillas, and get within five feet of a Gorilla after hiking in the volcanoes in search of these creatures. Optional activities;cultural group performance, visiting the Batwa – an indigenous tribe, twin lakes, the grave of Diane Fossey and the gorilla cemetery.

This Safari gives you an opportunity to experience two premium wildlife experiences in Rwanda i.e. Chimpanzee trekking and Gorilla trekking.
