The students will each taste pecan, pumpkin, apple, and cherry pie. Then each student will pick their favorite pie from the four types. They will color and label the pie cut out according to which flavor they picked; pecan: brown, pumpkin: orange, apple: green, and cherry: red. The class will be given fifteen minutes to complete the hand out and then come to the carpet. There each student will graph their pie cut out in the appropriate column. As a class we will then count how can people like each type of pie, talking about the favorite to the least favorite.
