INITIAL IDEA

After brainstorming a few ideas, (including the Lambanana’s, following a taxi driver around on his shift and filming Chinatown during the build up to new year) we finally decided upon documenting a local Chess club, the oldest in England.

Our initial approach was to focus upon the characters who were part of the club as opposed to focussing on the game itself.

We planned to interview as many members of the club as possible by using open styled questions such as “What do you enjoy about the club?” and “What do you enjoy about the game?”

STRENGTHS

We communicated well as a team.

We were all well aware of our roles individually but pulled together and assisted each other when necessary.

We all contributed ideas in order to improve the piece.

We worked efficiently and promptly.

WEAKNESSES

Our planning could have been tighter and more in advance.

Researching further into the club itself may have given us a better idea of what to expect but there was little information to work with.
