And why would I end up talking about a jammed wardrobe here?? (well this col-umn is not a donation request for a new wardrobe). Many of our minds are like this wardrobe door that is jammed with various aspects of life. On one side it would be the maths and the science and on the other side it would be the Bi-ble. Now that‟s not confusing, is it? Well it gets confusing when you want to be-lieve the Bible as it is, BUT the science that you learn retracts you from believ-ing the very basic facts of the Bible. Ahhhhhh, now that‟s a little tricky right there. Don‟t worry this is not the begin-ning of another dull column. This is just the outline of what you will be looking at when you flip over this page number in the upcoming editions. The main purpose of this column is to draw the fact that science perfectly explains the existence of the Bible.
Dear Readers,
Voila! At last after months of plan-
ning and hard work, Living H2O is
finally out…..
You might be wondering what this is
all about. Living H2O - Living
Hearts 2 Offer-is a magazine for
everyone who is ready to accept a
challenge in their life and is willing
and brave.
On this occasion I thank all the
members for all their hard work and
their devoted contribution to this
magazine. All I can hope and pray is
that you also share the same taste as
we do as you flip through the articles
and poems by various teenagers and
adults. Also if you would like to see
your material be published in Living
H2O, please send them to living-
Hope you all
enjoy this edition.
Until next time

Many at times we tend to have wrong notions in our mind and we end up thinking that science and the Bible are two different dimensions and at a par-ticular point of saturation, we succumb to gizmo answers given to us by the science teachers and we end up having a jammed mind (just like my ward-robe door) and this is where “THE SCREWDRIVER” comes in handy.
THE SCREW DRIVER
Hi guys (naaaaahhhh!!! That‟s tooo tra-di t ional . . .how about …. SSUP GUYS???? Ya, that‟s pretty much like the youth lingo of today…) Now to begin with, you might ask me, why is this column termed „the screwdriver‟? and I would have left you unanswered if it weren‟t for the recent use I found with the screwdriver in opening my jammed wardrobe door!!!!
3 LIVING HEARTS 2 OFFER Now you have the answer to two questions, one is „why this column is termed the screwdriver‟ and also the answer to why this column finds a place in this magazine. Over the years, science has succeeded in mak-ing us believe that we were once upon a time „monkeys‟. Apparently, Charles Darwin saw a couple of pictures of his ancestors and the only thing he could relate them was with „monkeys??‟. Unfortunately, he didn‟t have the privilege of seeing a 7.2 mega pixelate photograph taken on a Sony cyber shot. Considering his situation, how blessed are we, that we have colour photographs of our grandparents lest we call them monkeys
In the upcoming editions, I hope I will be successful in making you all re-alise that Charles Darwin was the biggest fool on earth. We will also look at how God outsmarted the humans and their scientific experiments. And we will also discuss day to day science in relation with the Bible. Through this column I also hope you hear even the rocks and the heavens cry out for their creator. But above all I pray that this column might find you rea-sons to stand up for the Bible and to believe that you are God‟s own crea-tion, his masterpiece.
“FOR YOU ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE” -Pramod Roy
4 LIVING HEARTS 2 OFFER MORE VALUABLE THAN
SILVER AND GOLD In 1800’s, the price of Gold was only $19.36 / oz (1 oz = 28.35grams).That con-
tinued for a century with minimal fluctuations. In 1990, the price of gold was
$20.67 / oz. Over the period of nine decades, the price of gold rose to $423 /
oz. The price of gold started to plunge in the year 2000 and reached
$272.15 / oz. By the end of 2005 the price of gold reached $517.20 / oz, al-
most 90% surge in a period of 5 years.
The amazing fact is that we are not spending a single penny for the most es-
sential things which we require to live in this earth. Just imagine if we had to
pay for the air we breathe!! To live in this earth, the most required thing is
oxygen which is available free of cost. The most important thing we require is
salvation of our soul. We cannot buy it by exchanging the gold we have as the
Giver of oxygen and salvation are the same. Christ the Son of God gave His life
on the cross about 2000 years ago for mankind so that man may get salvation
of his soul to have a life after death with God.
The price of the gold has gone further. In 2008 the average price was $874 /
oz. From $19.39 / oz in 1900 to $874 / oz in 2008! Gold has become very valu-
able. People are buying gold to make their investments as gold. Some experts
predict that price of gold may go above $2000 / oz. After all gold is nothing
but a yellow shining metal! We give importance for something whose price is not
stable. Anything can happen anytime. There is no guarantee that the value of
gold will be stable. In the end of the year 2000, there was a big plunge in the
gold price!! We can enjoy the possession of this metal only for a short time.
Nobody carries it when they die. What if the price of gold is that of 1900?
How much ever the gold is or whatever the price, man can use it only for a
short span of time!! In the Bible, we read “For when he dies he shall carry
nothing away, his glory shall descend after him”. Again we read “For what is a
man profited if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what
shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” With this recession we can under-
stand that we cannot depend on our wealth. Many saw the wealth which they
earned after long years of hard work drain out in a short time . We think we
can live happily if we have wealth, but we don’t think that we could lose our
wealth in such a short time. Some people find a way to escape from financial
problems by committing suicide. German billionaire Adolf Merkle committed
suicide very recently. Forbes Magazine has rated him as 94th richest person in
2008.
5 LIVING HEARTS 2 OFFER In the Bible we read ; “Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save
them in the day of the LORD’s wrath; and the whole land will be
devoured by the fire of his jealousy. For quickly he will rid the land of all
those who live in it.” No matter how much gold and silver man makes, it will not
save him. Gold is now at the highest price in history. While dying, nobody can
make oxygen flow into him by giving his treasures of gold. There is a life after
death and to have it you just
have to accept Christ as your
savior. With just a few words of
prayer with your whole heart and
with a sense of need, you can
have it freely. This free gift is
available through Christ. It’s
free but limited till Christ comes
again. He will come soon to take
all who accepted this free gift of
grace. The wonderful thing is
that whoever believes can have
it. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, man or woman, young or old. People
can lure you for many things of this world which will turn to be boring or use-
less for you over the period of time or may lead you to great depression and
problems. But we are inviting you to have this salvation free of cost which will
make you happy and give a meaning for your life. Once you have this, you will
not have to worry about anything; you will not have to think of suicide.
Life is not to run around to earn gold or silver. Give a meaning to your life. Ask
yourself whether you are really happy with your life. Ask
yourself where you will be after your death. Ask yourself what will happen to
your soul if you die today. We all live in uncertainty. There was a man who died
for all mankind so that whoever believes in Him should have a meaningful life, a
life which extends eternally. Forget about investing in gold, think on investing
for your soul. If you want to have a joyful life after death, believe in Christ
Jesus and accept Him as your Lord and Personal Savior. Invite Christ into your
life, He will change you.
Dear reader, we are ready to help you in this. We may not be able to help you financially but we can help you by showing the person who can make you over-come all your troubles and worries. He can provide you salvation and peace which is worth more than the Gold and Silver of this earth.
-Godly John

Before U were thought of or time had
begun,
God even stuck U in the name of His
Son.
And each time U pray, you'll see it's
true
You can't spell out Jes-U-s and not in-
clude U.
You're a pretty big part of His wonder-
ful name, For U , He was born; that's why He
came. And His great love for U is the reason
He died. It even takes U to spell cr-U-cified.
Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His
plan?
The stones split away, the gold
tr-U-mpet blew,
and the word res-U-rrection is spelled
with U.
When Jes-U-s left earth at His upward
ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had
to mention.
"Go into the world and tell them it's
true
That I love them all - Just like I love
U."
So many great people are spelled with
a U,
Don't they have a right to know
Jes-U-s too? It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know, But it all starts with U.

Look at the sky:
Its way high;
Higher than any
mountain top.
The clouds are white
much to my delight;
One of them looks like
a face with wrinkles.
The other like a cycle.
With faint pedals,
And streamers on its handles.
But the thought of the wonderful
clouds
and the blissful nature, friends
other people
Who made them??
A Great and Passionate Artist
A Lovable Father
Emboldens me to praise,
Him always.
And this is ‘Jesus Christ’

If I had only one more day to live, All love, praise, and glory to you I'd give. I'd try my best to put a smile on some-one's face To share with them your saving grace. I'd remember things about my life The times you were there through fun and strife, And thank you then for all you've done. Without you no victories would have been won. If I have one more day before I die I would apologize to the kid I made cry. I would take back the harsh words said to everyone, And fill their hearts with laughter and fun. If I only had one more day I wouldn't push anyone away. I wouldn't try to hurt a friend Because I should love them to the very end. Why not live each day as if it were our last Looking towards our future and forget-ting the past To be a Christian each day we live And most importantly to always give.

At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to death on the cross or crucifixion.
That was the "worst" death in those days. Only the worst of criminals could die like
Jesus. And with Jesus things were worse, because not all criminals condemned to
death were flogged.
DEATH OF A GREAT KING “JESUS CHRIST”
Christie Shaji
HE DIED FOR YOU!
Whipped, with a crown of thorns on his head, spat at, slapped, struck on the head
with a rod, bleeding, in deep agony, on the cross, with nails on His wrists and feet,
mocked, forsaken by God His Father, all for our sake. Jesus passed through all this,
so that you can have free access to God. So that your sins could be washed away. All
of them, with no exception! Don't ignore Him.
Jesus poured all 5 litres of his blood; He had three nails hammered into His limbs; a
crown of thorns on his head and, beyond that, a spear through His side. All these
without mentioning the humiliation He passed through after carrying his own cross
for almost 2 kilometres, while the crowd spat on His face and threw stones at Him
(the cross was almost 30 kg of weight).
Did I mention that he was flogged before being crucified? For that, they used a spe-
cial kind of whip made of leather, with thorns and animal bones embedded in them;
this was to make sure that each time a person was whipped, a part of his flesh
would come out along with the whip.
Yes, over 3 hours! Long time, isn't it? Few minutes before He died, Jesus was not
bleeding anymore. Water was pouring out from his cuts and wounds. When we
imagine Him injured, we only picture Him with scars, but it is not so; His injuries
were true wounds, made in His body while he was flogged. He had no more blood to
bleed (Human body is composed of nearly 5 litres of blood for an adult).
Nails... Big nails! Each was 15 to 20 cm long, with a point of 6 cm. All points were
sharp. The nails were craved into the pulses, and not into the palms, as we used to
hear. In the pulse, there's a tendon which extends till the shoulder, and when the
nails were being hammered, that tendon broke, obliging Jesus to reinforce all the
muscles of His back, so that He could breath as He was loosing all the air from his
lungs. In this way, He was forced to support Himself onto the nail craved in his feet,
which was bigger than those craved into His wrists, for both feet were craved to-
gether. And, as his feet could not endure that pain for long without tearing, Jesus was
forced to alternate that "cycle" so that He could breath. Jesus endured that reality for
over 3 hours.
9 LIVING HEARTS 2 OFFER BELIEVE IT OR NOT
Death is certain but the Bible speaks about eternal death! Make a personal
reflection about this.....
Very interesting, read until the end..... It is written in the Bible (Galatians 6:7): '
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sow, that shall he
also reap.
Here are some men and women who mocked God :
John Lennon (Singer): Some years before, during his interview with an American
Magazine, he said: 'Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue
about that. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we
are more famous than Him ' (1966). Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were
more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.
The man who built the Titanic: After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked
him how safe the Titanic would be. With an ironic tone he said: ' Not even God can
sink it '. The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.
Marilyn Monroe (Actress): She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation
of a show. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing
what the Preacher had to say, she said: ' I don ' t need your Jesus ' A week later, she
was found dead in her apartment
In Campinas, Brazil a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend..... The
mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of
her friends and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated
in the car: „My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You. 'She responded: '
Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here.....It ' s Already Full '
Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone
had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surpris-
ingly, the trunk was intact. The police said there was no way the trunk could have
remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none was
broken.
Now,
YOU be the judge...
The people above did not die a natural death. They died because they refused to
accept God. They spoke against God and their words brought judgement on them.
The Bible mentions that those who do not believe in him will drink from his cup of
wrath. What are you going to do? Will you follow in the footsteps of the above
people, or will you choose God and follow him?

BIG PROBLEMS
BIGGER GOD Two men went fishing. One was an experienced fisherman, the other wasn't. Every
time the experienced fisherman caught a big fish, he put it in his ice chest to keep it
fresh. Whenever the inexperienced fisherman caught a big fish, he threw it back.
The experienced fisherman watched this go on all day and finally got tired of see-
ing the man waste good fish. "Why do you keep throwing back all the big fish you
catch?" he asked. The inexperienced fisherman replied, "I only have a small frying
pan."
Sometimes, like that fisherman, we throw back the big plans, big dreams, big jobs,
big opportunities that GOD gives us. Our faith is too small. We laugh at that fisher-
man who didn't figure out that all he needed was a bigger frying pan, yet how ready
are we to increase the size of our faith? Whether it's a problem or a possibility,
GOD will never give you anything bigger than you can handle. That means we can
confidently walk into anything GOD brings our way. You can do all things through
GOD. Nothing is too big for GOD.
Stop telling GOD you've got big problems.
Tell your problems you've got a BIG GOD!
"I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw your-
self into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that
what he says will happen, it will be done for him.”

A Gift of Shelter Life was tough for Datha and her family. At age 39, she had a heart attack and
learned that she had coronary artery disease. A year later, her 15-year-old daugh-
ter Heather became paralyzed as the result of a car accident. Datha quit her job
to take care of Heather, and the bills started piling up. Soon they would be fac-
ing eviction. Datha was so angry with God that she stopped praying. Then came
Christmas Eve. A young girl knocked on Datha‟s door. The girl wished her a
“Merry Christmas” gave her an envelope, and left quickly. Inside was a gift that
would cover Datha‟s housing needs for the next year. The attached note read,
“Please accept this gift in honour of the Man whose birthday we celebrate on
this holy night. Long ago, his family had a shelter problem too.”
Luke 2 tells the story of Joseph and Mary as they searched for a shelter. They
found a place with the animals. Later in his life, Jesus said of
Himself, “The Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” Jesus understood
Datha‟s troubles. He brought her hope and met her needs through others who
contributed funds. We can cast all our cares on Him. In Christ, we can find shel-
ter.

Praised God for His
kindness,
Pleaded for His
closeness.
Could not find any clue:
Of the things that
troubled me,
Could rather sit and hue;
For, the trouble was
within me.
My God and My Guide
Hold me and lead me,
My Lord and My Light
Help me and heal me.
Purge me thoroughly,
From each and every sin:
The hate and the pride,
That I keep within.

Cleanse me O Lord
Use me for Thy will.

WHO IS A CHRISTIAN An enormous number of people around the globe are called Christians, around
33% of the world population, which becomes around 2.2 billion, but their beliefs,
teachings and practices vary extremely from place to place. But a natural ques-
tion arises among many of us, who is a CHRISTIAN? What does this particular
term mean to me as a Christian? Is it a religion? As we see in the chart, the world
describes it as a religion. How do I describe it?
The name Christian is seen in the
Holy Bible, The first one is men-
tioned in Acts 11:26 ‗…The disciples
were called Christians first at An-
tioch.‘ This states that the disciples/
followers of Jesus Christ were called
Christians in an insulting sense, but
as time went on, believers embraced
the term as a badge of witness and
honor. Then the next question arises
quite naturally, are all Christians
followers of Christ?
Just before Jesus Christ ascended to heaven, He gave a great command to his disci-
ples which is mentioned in Matthew 28:19 ‗Therefore go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am
with you always to the very end of the age.‘The above mentioned verses are the ba-
sics of a Christian, i.e. to know who is Jesus Christ, what was the purpose of Jesus
Christ coming to this world, then to follow his teachings & commands and live a
Christ-like life. Who is Jesus Christ ?
*John 10:30 ‗ I and my Father are one.‘ (Jesus Christ is God)
*John 10:36-38 ‗…what about the one whom the Father set apart as His
very own and sent into the world? Why then do you accuse me of blas-
phemy because I said, ―I am God‘s Son‖? Do not believe me unless I do
what my Father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe me,
believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is
in me, and I in the Father.‘ (Jesus Christ is God Incarnate) & (Jesus
Christ addresses himself as Son of God)
*Words of Apostle Paul - Titus 2:13 ‗While we wait for the blessed hope-the
glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ
*Words of Apostle Peter - 2 Peter 1:1 ‗Simon Peter, a servant and apostle of
Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God and Sav-
iour Jesus Christ have received a faith as precious as ours:‘
14 LIVING HEARTS 2 OFFER *Words of Disciple Thomas - John 20:28 ‗Thomas said to him, ―My Lord
and my God!‖‘
*Certification from God the Heavenly Father – Mathew 17:5 ‗While he was
still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud
said, ―This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased. Listen to
him!
The answer to who Jesus Christ is – Jesus Christ is God who came down to this
world, taking the form of a man; He addresses Himself as the Son of God in this
world and Heavenly Father certifies Jesus Christ as his Son while he was in this
world.
What was the Purpose of Jesus Christ coming to this world?
John 3:16-18 ‗"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did
not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world
through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not be-
lieve stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's
one and only Son.‖‘ The purpose of Jesus Christ coming to this world was God‘s
plan of eternal Salvation to mankind who once disbelieved, rebelled and turned
away from God, through the vicarious sacrifice of his son on the cross of Calvary.
What to believe
Romans 5:6-12 ‗You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless,
Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man,
though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates
his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since
we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from
God's wrath through him! For if, when we were God's enemies, we were recon-
ciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been recon-
ciled, shall we be saved through his life! Not only is this so, but we also rejoice in
God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received recon-
ciliation. Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death
through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned…‘
Romans10:9-11 ‗That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe
in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with
your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you
confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never
be put to shame."‘
Who are sinners and what is sin? Romans 3:10-29 ‗As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there
is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they
have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.‖

"Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit." "The poison of vi-
pers is on their lips.‖ "Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness." "Their feet
are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace
they do not know." "There is no fear of God before their eyes." Now we know that
whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth
may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. Therefore no one
will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law
we become conscious of sin. But now a righteousness from God, apart from law,
has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteous-
ness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no
difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified
freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God pre-
sented him as a sacrifice of atonement, through faith in his blood. He did this to
demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed
beforehand unpunished— he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so
as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus. Where, then, is
boasting? It is excluded. On what principle? On that of observing the law? No, but
on that of faith. For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observ-
ing the law. Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too?‖‘
Yes, of Gentiles too. All those who are born in this world are sinners by birth. Jesus
Christ is not only the Savior of Jews but for the whole Mankind.

Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58 NIV
16 LIVING HEARTS 2 OFFER DON’T GO OUT … KEEP BURNING
After accepting God‟s gift of salvation, there‟s always a deep desire in every bud-
ding believers heart. In the passage of time, this desire can be either a great burning
flame, when you draw nearer to the knowledge of God‟s love, or it can be as small
as a spark which is ready to be snuffed out by the pleasures of the world which at-
tracts you or your own thoughts of low self esteem. In the Bible, the epistle of Phi-
lippians. 2: 15 says so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God
without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in
the universe. When you insert the plug of your mobile phone charger into the
switch, you don‟t worry yourselves and enquire whether there is enough water in
the dam for the turbine to run. In the same way, just submit yourselves wholly to
God, no HOW‟S, WHEN‟S and WHAT‟S. You will see how amazingly He uses
you in ways, you can never even imagine. The best ability that you can give to God
is your availability. The most powerful testimony that you can give is a life lived
according to the principles of God. Where your placed now is your mission field
and the watching world around you is your own peer group, friend circle, family
friends, neighbours, colleagues. You can be an Esther, who was a queen who was
used by God in the palace for the welfare of her people. All of us have a loving Fa-
ther in heaven who delights in us when we delight in Him, who rejoices to see us
coming to His feet everyday for our spiritual growth who takes pride in us when we
stand for His Name and who grieves when we are afflicted. But also His heartache
when you start running away from him and find joy in sinful pleasures. Your talk
talks but your walk talks louder… so keep burning for God‟s glory.
