MoCI requests for site: Ministry of Commerce and Industry has requested Kuwait Municipality to allocate a site to establish a market for used heavy duty vehicles and engines. Location of the 500,000 square meters used vehicle market will be sited soon, reports Al-Shahed daily. In a letter to the State Minister for Municipality Affairs Essa Al-Kanderi, the Minister of Commerce and Industry Yousef Al-Ali said both ministries will sustain the current cooperation and coordination to establish the market for used vehicles to wade off shortcomings observed in the market for several years. This will help the market to oper- ate and provide services in a modern way matching the standard of similar markets. He recommended each type of vehicle will have its own location to create uniqueness in the market. He explained the mechanism will prevent a scenario whereby vehicles are seen in their large numbers at the roadsides where individuals and corporate bodies try to purchase them for construction and contracting purpos- es.
