We are delighted to announce that our 5th Women@SIMI event in conjunction with our sponsor, Bank of Ireland, will take place on Friday 14th September in the Shelbourne Hotel, St Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2.

The aim of this event is to provide a platform for professionals within our industry to come together to network, exchange experiences and create business contact.

Women@SIMI is an inclusive event, so inform all your colleagues both female and male, as they may wish to attend.

Our Guest Speakers

Anne Cassin - MC

Anne Cassin is a presenter with RTE’s flagship Nationwide programme giving voice to communities and stories from the all around the country. She’s been with the programme since 2012 and so far it’s the best job yet!

Anne’s career in RTE has spanned over 25 years. She began as a Continuity Announcer before progressing to become a journalist in the Newsroom covering politics, the North, European Affairs, the Olympic Games and Sport. She presented the News for many years in addition to Crimecall, Capital D and the All Island School Competition.

Francesca McDonagh, Chief Executive, Bank of Ireland

Francesca joined Bank of Ireland as Group Chief Executive in October 2017. Francesca joined HSBC as a graduate in 1997, rising through the ranks to become one of the youngest Group General Managers in 2014.

Passionate about customers and colleagues Francesca has constantly led customer focused innovation. Francesca also has a powerful and ongoing commitment to inclusion and diversity. This passion for customers and colleagues was recognised in 2017 when Francesca was awarded an OBE for services to banking.

Francesca is a member of the PRA Practitioner Panel and sits on the board of IBEC, the Irish Business and Employers Confederation. She has previously served on the Board of the

Geraldine Herbert, Editor & Motoring Journalist

Geraldine Herbert has been a motoring journalist for over 15 years, writing for various newspapers and magazines and regularly contributing to radio and tv discussions around motoring and consumer issues.

She is currently Contributing Editor and Motoring correspondent for the Sunday Independent, and is also founder and editor of Ireland’s first motoring website for women www.wheelsforwomen.ie

Gerry Hussey, Performance Psychology Consultant

Gerry has been at the forefront of building high performance teams and individuals in Olympic and Professional, sport and corporate organisations. His vast experience has seen him prepare and lead teams for success at Olympic Games, Heineken cups, World cups, and World and European championships in Professional Rugby, Olympic Sailing, Athletics, Olympic Boxing, Track Cycling and GAA. Along with his sporting portfolio Gerry currently works with global leading corporate organisations and business teams in the areas of Leadership, High Performance Team development and human performance.

His passion to deliver real and authentic experiences that truly embrace and ignite change has seen Gerry develop a series of Leadership, Team and Individual Performance and Health programmes that he delivers (The Awakening) in bespoke environments from the incredible Delphi Valley in Ireland, to Base Camp Everest and Africa. On these extraordinary experiences he facilitates and coaches his clients to strip away learned behaviours and thinking and re connect with the best version of themselves, to re prioritise, re energise and re awaken and ignite their inner passion and ability.
