NANCY OVERLOCATION OF MUSIC VIDEO

Page 2: Location of music video

My group and I decided to shoot some scenes for the video at Janna’s house as because it’s a love/emotional song, it’s more personal and effective when portraying the emotions in the music videos narrative. By filming some shots at home, we thought this would bring a heartfelt touch to the young audience. We also decided to dress Deejay, the artist in a ‘onsie’ when filming the bedroom scene to represent her security and comfort of her home. The ‘onsie’ is also popular amongst the age range that the music video is aimed which will hopefully make it more appealing. The stairs scene shows Deejay in her own clothes, coming out of her comfort zone eg. Her ‘onsie’ and bedroom.

My group and I also decided to film in the park as it also conforms to other love song/ music video. We decided to shoot in the park to give our video a variety and a different range of shots. The park also shows Deejay stepping out from her house to public places showing her leaving her comfort zone and being more free and open in herself. We decided to shoot at sunset so we could work with the soft lighting which conforms with the conventions of a love music video.

We also decided to shoot some scene's in the studio with a white backdrop. The studio also has special artificial lighting which will give the artist a youthful glow. We also wanted the lighting to be consistent throughout the video. Lastly, it also makes the video look more professional, conforming to other R&B love music videos. It’s also the same studio used for the images used in my digipak and music advert.
