“This will see a significant reduction in idle times as well as mileage,” added Will Young, Key Account Manager in UK & Ireland. “There will be no long traffic jams and the time loading and unloading goods will be drastically lessened. In my opinion, there are three main benefits of the software: cost saving, process improvement and greater visibility. When combined these elements enable success, creating a fundamental platform for communication.”

To further benefit their customers, TRANSPOREON has recently created a new mobile app, The Mobile Order Management. A new innovation in transport and logistics, the easy to use Android app links the driver's smartphone in the truck with the shipper, enabling end-to-end real-time processes, paperless dispatch and visibility right up to the delivery.

“The Mobile Order Management application centres on tracking and traceability, allowing customers to monitor the status of their deliveries more efficiently,” explained Will.

“The app enhances clients’ understanding and allows them to be far more proactive, as they can clearly track any changes made during the delivery process. This latest advancement helps customers to go one step further in the supply chain – they can even take signatures using the device, confirming the shipment execution. The process looks to improve process efficiency as well as saving on costs.”
