THRIVE WASHINGTON BRAND STYLE GUIDE
APPLICATION
The Thrive Washington logo should be used cleanly and prominently on the front or intro page(s) and used smaller, sparingly and as more of an inset on secondary pages or document backsides.
PROPERTIES AND LIMITS
The Thrive Washington logo should occupy its own space. Maintain a generous “safe” area equal to the height of the lower left blue box in the icon – denoted as the “X” height below. Maintain, at a minimum, the X-height on all sides of the logo.
MINIMUM SIZING
The minimum application size for the Thrive Washington logo is 1.0 inch or 2.54 centimeters or 72 pixels.
VERSIONS
Whenever possible, use the main Thrive logo with icon and type in full color. For one-color applications, the logo may be used in solid black, solid dark grey or reversed out white. If the main Thrive logo has been used initially in a document, you may use the icon-only.
FILES
All logo files are available for downloading at: www.thrivewa.org/logos
FILE USAGE
Digital files with .eps extensions are built in CMYK and should be used for printed materials. These files can be resized infinitely without loss of resolution.
Files with .jpg or .png extensions (RGB) should be used for on-screen viewing. The .png versions have transparent backgrounds while the .jpg files do not. Do not enlarge beyond actual file size.
Please consult your vendor for their preferred file format before submitting artwork for production.

CORRECT USE OF LOGO INCORRECT USE OF LOGO
Always use the logo on a white or very light background. Any other background will result in a decrease in contrast, getting lost in a dark or busy background.

PALETTE
The Thrive Washington Color Palette consists of four blue tones ranging from light blue to a dark blue with hues in between. A vivid orange provides a strong accent color in contrast to the blue tones. The dark grey is used for almost all text instances.
COLOR BREAKDOWNS
CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow & black) are used for print materials. RGB (red, greed & blue) are used for on-screen materials such as web and presentation materials. HEX colors are codes used in many applications to easily assign colors.
USAGE
When adding color to documents, be sparing and use colors only as accents or to bring attention to a certain area.
The dark grey should be used in all body text, main titles, headlines and unique titling.
When choosing an accent color, use the Medium Light Blue. This color can be used as solid field of color with text reversed out to white accompanied by the Light Blue as subtext.
To highlight important areas or call outs, the Orange can be used to color page numbers, website address or icons. Do not use the orange for headlines, body copy or large fields as this color is very dramatic and powerful and can overtake a layout. Use sparingly – a little can go a long ways.
