We also suggest the following points should be considered when installing luminaires:
· How the lights are being used and, therefore, the appropriate places to position these & the switch gear.
· Combining and switching the lights in groups, can easily provide different lighting levels.
· Lights are best positioned to allow easy cleaning.
· Consider the reflectiveness of walls and flooring. Painting surfaces white or lighter colours will increase the illumination levels.
· It is important that lights are water and dustproof. Our led battens are all IP66.
It is recommended minimum light levels are required
for both inspection and welfare.
Increased lighting levels are suggested for stimulation
of milk yield for the cows or for more visually demanding
tasks for the stockmen.
? Much Reduced Energy Consumption lowers operating costs: LEDs are much more efficient than compact fluorescent and incandescent lamps.
? Very Low Maintenance Costs, due to extra long unit life - no replacements are required.
? No Ultraviolet (UV) rays (affecting plastic materials or eye/skin conditions) or Infrared (IR) beams.
? Extra Long Life: up to 100,000 hours.
? No Mercury! (fluorescent and metal halide tubes contain toxic mercury harmful to our environment).
? Low Carbon Footprint: much less CO emissions through reduced energy requirement.²
? Flicker Free Light.
? Light Directed in a Precise Beam, were it is required - ensuring maximum effectiveness.
? Excellent Colour Rendition allows true colours to be seen.
? High Luminous Stability over wide changes in ambient temperatures, including below freezing.
? Very High Brightness Stability, over time other light sources fade rapidly.
? Very Compact Design, so less and smaller LED battens are required for any given light levels.
? Direct LED Replacements available for traditional fluorescent and high bay Lamps.
? Full Brightness Available Immediately when switched on, with dimmable versions an option.
? Minimum Heat Output, no burns risk or wasted energy.
? Uses Safer Low Voltage electricity, lessens the chance of shock.
? Higher Mechanical Strength and impact resistance.
? Easily Controlled with Motion and Light Sensors, to save even more energy.
? LED light does not attract insects, since no UV light is emitted.
? More natural colours are more comfortable and effective to work in.
