Committee Responsibilities
Attend meetings regularly, participate as well as listen to others with an
impartial ear. (What's best for the whole district vs what's best for my
child's campus?)
Study background information.(Demographics, enrollment capacities,
facilities, instructional programs, financial capacities, etc.)
Become familiar with the key/pressing issues that generated the need
for planning. Are they all important? Are there others?
Consider/evaluate alternatives for addressing the important issues. (How
they will work, what they will cost, how long will it take to realize them?)
Engage the community/district staff and other resources.
Help to develop, identify, reach agreement upon an option to
recommend to the Board of Trustees.
