• When we walk through the mountains we see many plants, animals and fungi that cannot be found on the beach.

• The mountains and the beach have distinct characteristics. The temperature, the water, and the type of earth (soil) in both locations is different.

• The environment or habitat of a living thing has determined characteristics regarding light, temperature, air, water and earth (soil).
