3D. A pretty big “buzz” phrase at the moment, and one that has given the film industry a new format to keep packing cinemas. But unpack that, and aside from tricking your brain into thinking that something is more lifelike, more physical, 3D is essentially a means into making the fantasy more like the dimension we live in already. Only Music occupies a space which exists in an intangible dimension. A third dimension to our lives. Test it. Think of your favourite song. The one you walked down the aisle to. The first one that had such an impact on the radio that made you pull your car over. The song that soundtracked your perfect summer. You can hear it playing now right? Existing in a space all to yourself, outside of reality. That’s a powerful thing. So that’s why we all want to be working in music.
