Rhetoric School Supply Lists 2017-2018

Rhetoric School students will need an electronic device that they are comfortable working with in the classroom. The device will be used with Microsoft 365 (software access provided by the school). The device may be a MAC or PC Laptop or a tablet with a physical keyboard option. *NO CELL PHONES* are permitted for classwork.

PC minimum specs – running Windows 7, 8, 8.1, or 10 with 2 GB RAM MAC minimum specs – running OSX 10.10 (Yosemite) or later with 4 GB RAM iPad – requires iOS 8.0 or higher. iPad Pro requires iOS 9.0 or higher Android – running Android KitKat 4.4 or later version and have an ARM-based or Intel x86

processor Windows tablet – requires Windows 10

Specifications may change through the 4 years of Rhetoric School when later versions of software are deployed. Systems with the more current specifications are more likely to meet future minimum needs. The device will be used as early as 9th grade for student email for all classes and school information; for accessing materials for class (handouts, Power Point, etc.); and for Humanities writing and research assignments and presentations. Beginning in 9th grade, Rhetoric School students will also be using a scientific calculator for some math and science classes. The required calculator is TI-30X IIS (Texas Instruments). All students need off-campus access to a working printer throughout the school year.
