SPORTS UPDATE WITH MR TILLACK

Junior Basketball/Netball Rings

During the holidays, we had our new junior

rings installed and they look great! These rings

are not the standard 10 feet in height but a

lowered 8 feet and can be turned around

depending on what the students want to

practise. These rings have been put up for the

grade P-2 students and even the older students

who need to focus on their ‘shooting’ technique

at a ring of a lowered height, working their way

up to the standard rings. We would like to thank

Adam Harris and his team for the concreting

and the installation of the rings, it is very much

appreciated!

Whole School Cross Country

Tomorrow we have our Cross Country which will be held here at school. It would be great to see all students dressed in their house colours (Kangaroos, Koalas, Dingoes) on the day. Below is the timetable for the day. Fingers crossed it is nice weather. Colac Primary Schools Golf Tournament

On Monday we have Takira, Danika, Darcy, Ricky, Oliver, Seth, Ella C, Sienna, Georgia, Lara and Ella L representing the school in the Colac Primary Schools Golf Tournament up at the Colac Golf Club. They will play on a modified 9 hole course whereby they will have the challenge of playing on real greens and trying to hit real balls (not the plastic ones we use at school) straight, a task that many golfers find very hard. All students have been selected after showing a considerable amount of skill on Monday when we had Chris Crabbe from Golf Australia in for a clinic. Good luck!
