The Lunchroom ~By 4th Grade Roaring Reporter, Cherry Hassler What do you think about the lunchroom behavior? Or what about our 7 habits? Let’s find out!  The first person I interviewed was Hanna. I asked, “What do you think about the three-choice-change on the menu?” She answered, “I think it’s good because if you don’t like something you can choose something else.” I agree

with Hanna. After that, I interviewed Madison. I asked her, “What do you think of the 4th grade voice level in the cafeteria?” Maddie then said, “Too loud, I could die from it!” I also agree with her we need to be a bit quieter. Next I wanted to include the 7 habits, so I asked Dakota, ”What habit do you think we need to work on as a school?” He replied, “Synergizing because a lot of people don’t synergize when playing stuff.” After that I was wondering what our best habit was, so I asked my good friend Elocin “What do you think is our best habit as a school?” Elocin said, “Sharpen the saw because we make our lives balanced.” I agree. I hope you liked listening to our thoughts, have a nice day!

Mrs.Colgate ~By 4th Grade Roaring Reporter, Spencer Reed  Mrs.Colgate is a loving and caring woman and this article will tell you all about her. She works with first graders.   I started out with asking her “what do you like so far?” she said,“I love building relationships with the students and also love being here with my kid”.Next I asked her,”what is one of her favorite places?”She said,”The library because I love to reading.”After that I asked her a very good question,”What do you like about the eight habits?”She said she likes them because they build character. My last question I asked”was”What habit do you use the most?”She said Put first things first.”I think she said habit 3 because she does it a lot. We hope she likes MGE like we like her.

 The Watcher

~By 4th Grade Roaring Reporter, Haylie Miller

Have you wondered who the new recess teacher is? That’s Brandy! She watches the kids k-5 to make sure they're safe and being fair.

I asked Brandy “What’s your favorite part about being a recess teacher?” she said “Going outside watching kids play.” She is very responsible by that answer. When asked “Out of the 8 Habits, Which is your favorite and why?” she said “Habit 3 because work is more important than playing.” When asked “What is your favorite color, food and place?” she said “Pink, chicken, and St. Louis Blues Hockey game.” My last question was “Before you came here, where did you work?” she said “I was a stay at home Mom.”   Now you know Brandy, the caring, responsible, and awesome recess teacher! Thank you for joining our school!!:)

Mrs. Kovac  By 4th Grade Roaring Reporter Reporter, Faith Lenz

Did you know? Mrs. Kovac is teaching in Mrs. Wigge’s class

with an individual student. This is so exciting for her! In this

news article you will learn more about Mrs. Kovac.

Mrs. Kovac has been teaching for 5 years. Another thing

about her is she started teaching because she loves to work

with children and inspire them. One of the questions I asked

her is, “What is your favorite 7 Habit?” She said, “Sharpen the saw.” I asked her

“Why?” and her response was, “I like to spend time with my family and be in the

outdoors.”

Last but not least, I asked, “Do you like teaching?” She said, “Yes.” I had a great

time interviewing Mrs. Kovac and learning all the new things about her. If you see her in

the hallway, make sure to say ”hello.”

Mrs. Smith Our New 5th Grade Teacher

By 5th Grade Roaring Reporter, Brennon Goeller Have you ever wanted to ask Mrs. Smith about being a new 5th grade teacher? Well this is what she said. First, I asked, “What new experiences have you had being a 5th grade teacher?” and “Why did you want to be a 5th grade teacher?” She replied,“I like having a full class instead of having a small group class,” and “I like it better because I get to have more in depth conversations with students.¨ Next, I asked her if it is harder being 5th grade teacher than being a reading teacher. She said, “Yes, because I am learning how to grade papers and do lesson plans.¨ Finally, I asked, “How did this event change your life?¨ She said,¨ I got to meet a lot of new students and learn different ways to teach each subject.¨ If you were ever wondering about our new awesome 5th grade teacher, I hope this helps. There are many reasons she loves being a new teacher and Maple Grove Elementary.
